I took an OPK this morning to confirm that ovulation occurred yesterday and sure enough the OPK was not positive. I should be excited but instead I am bummed out. My hubby and I did not have sex yesterday despite the fact that I was ovulating. He gets home from work pretty late and I got home pretty late from picking up our daughter. Shortly after I got home I started feeling nauseas and then my whole body started to ache. Shortly after that my lower abdomen started to cramp up and I was in a lot of pain. I crawled into bed as soon as my daughter went to sleep and just laid there. When my husband came home, I was still in a lot of pain and didn't feel good enough to even attempt the baby dance. I asked a couple women in this wonderful support group I belong to about the pain and they suggested that it could be ovulation pain. It that's the case, this could be a very long journey trying to get pregnant! However, I had never experienced pain like that before when I was ovulating.....perhaps it was a fluke?
Regardless, I am disappointed that we didn't get the chance to try yesterday. Now I can only hope that our efforts to conceive the days before ovulation will help. I am hoping for a good outcome this month!
